Founding and Place of the
Institute
The Institute of Interbalkan Cooperation of the Balkan
nations is established.Place of the Institute is Athens.The Institute is
an international non-governemental organization which will pursue the link
among the U.N. E.E.C. and the other international organizations.
Organization of the Institute
The Institute is governed by a Board of Directors and the Executive
Secretariat. The Board of Directors is constituted by 11 numbers and the
Executive Secretariat General and the personel of the Institute.
The board of the Institute, according to the proposal of the Executive Secretariat,consistutes several departments and commitees in order to proceed to the research of different interbalkan issues(subjects),mainly those concerning the political,economical,commercial,environmental and cultural cooperation among the Balkans and European countries in general.
The Board of directors, the Executive
Secretariat and the research commitees meet and work according to the
Internal regularions or decisions of each one. The General Assembly is the
supreme organ of the Institute and it is composed by all its members. The
Institute possesses scientific and technical personel according to the
needs of its mission.
The Council of Institute Basic Principles of the Institute The accomplishments of the Institute`s goals is depended upon the
following basic principles which constitute the cornerstone of the
Interbalkan cooperation,i.e.: 1. Sovereign equality among the Balkan countries. 2.Respect of the sovereignty and independence of the Balkan countries.
3. Peaceful negotiations instead of the use of threat or violence. 4. The unviolation of the boarden of the Balkan countries. 5. Respect of the territorial integrity of the Balkan countries. 6. The settlement of conflicts among the countries in a spirit of good
will and peace. 7. Respect of the historical and cultural inheritance of the Balkan
countries. 8. The non-interference in the internal affairs of the other countries.
9. Respect of the human rights. 10. Multiple development of cooperation and solidarity among the Balkan
countries. 11. The protection of the environment and the natural flow of the
Balkan waters. 12. Respect and protection of the democratic principles and procedures.
Meeting with the Presidents of Greece and Romania The Goals of the Institution The goals of the Institution are the following : 1.The intesification and development of the relations among the Balkan
nations. 2.The solidarity, the cooperation and the unification of the Balkan
nations. 3. The toleration and understanding of the uniquenesses of each one
Balkan country. 4. The development of the economical, commercial, social,political,
cultural and environmental relations among the Balkan nations. 5. The investigation and projection of the current and
non-international problems of the Balkan countries as well as the pursuit
of their solution in a spirit of understanding, cooperation and peace.
6. The pursuit of a unifying driving goal, of all the Balkans countries
toward the United Europe.
